What is your favourite movie?

What got you started and where?
At the Junior Lyceum Hamrun – when they started coaching hockey and thus enrolling kids after school.
At what age did you start?
If I’m not mistaken, I was 12 or 13 years old…long time ago!!!
What made you join Hotsticks?
Since Tony Caruana Smith and Manuel Imbroll had enrolled us from the Lyceum, Hotsticks became my second family and never considered to change club.
What is your biggest accomplishment in hockey so far?
I don’t remember to win many honours with Hotsticks but my biggest accomplishment is to be part of this big family while keep playing with passion to be part of the future success the club is going through.
Who do you believe were the 3 most important persons who helped you in the game?
Each player I played with and all the coaches helped me a lot but If I have to mention 3 names are Tony Caruana Smith, Manuel Imbroll and the present coach Pieter Bregman.
If you were the Minister of Sports, what would you do to improve the hockey scene in Malta?
- I would invest more on the National Hockey Complex in Kordin because it needs a lift up.
- Offer a club house to those clubs who don’t have one.
- Help financing clubs so they can have enough resources to recruit young children in hockey.
- Also I would help more to give a big coverage to hockey on local media and social media.
What things do you not like to do?
Cleaning after I cook and washing the car.
Who is your role model, and why?
I never had role models in my life.
What was the best advice you were ever given?
The best advise and I use it as my motto is…”Live and let live”.
What do you treasure most in your life?
Absolutely my family especially my wife and daughter.
What are your plans for the future? I don’t plan as I like to live day by day but definately wish to play hockey few more years.
